RE: Events Planner/ Coordinator

Dear Sir or Madame:

I am certain that in finding a qualified candidate to fill your open requisition, you are searching for the most knowledgeable and well-rounded individual who possesses impeccable organization skills as well as a bit of creativity. What sets me apart from other candidates is my finesse and passion for planning and coordination as well as my eagerness to look for an opportunity to display my talents. Although my resume does not reflect tenured years in this field, I am however dedicated and serious about my career.

As you will see from the enclosed resume, I have experience as a Membership and Events Coordinator in my most recent position. I also have experience as a Department Engagement Coordinator as well as an Event Coordinator in my previous positions. In my most recent role, I met with the Chief Executive Officer to develop and implement strategic and logistic plans necessary to host successful events. I was responsible for securing sponsorships & registration, reviewing& executing vendor contracts and creating & implementing event budgets. In addition, I organized executive meetings, managed & oversaw association committees and managed office administrative responsibilities.

As a Department Engagement Coordinator, I met with senior management to brainstorm and create incentive programs for all of the associates. We also discussed different activities to do within the department such as team building activities, pot lucks, awards etc. In addition, I assisted with associate morale by decorating the department bulletin boards, celebrating associate birthdays and provided a positive atmosphere for all employees.

As an Event Coordinator at the Boys and Girls Club, I met with the program director on a week to week basis to discuss my upcoming plans. I was responsible for managing the club’s monthly calendars by formulating a budget, organizing weekly events, and putting together a team of staff to host daily activities. Although this position took a lot of dedication, organization, and hard work; I enjoyed what I did because it gave me the opportunity to be creative, use my authentic imagination, and mostly have fun.

In making your decision, please trust that my commitment to personal and professional excellence is the key to my success. Between my  time with Bank of America and my most recent position, I have achieved quite a few accomplishments. I have been recognized by receiving various Bank of America Global Recognition awards for exhibiting outstanding customer service, maintaining a high quality work ethic and demonstrating excellent team work. I have also received Top Performer awards for going above and beyond my job description while continuing to keep a positive attitude.

Overall, I do feel that I would be a great asset to the company as hard work and success encompasses my moral fiber.  If you have questions, or if you want to schedule an interview, please contact me at 818-798-8803. I look forward to meeting you to further discuss employment opportunities with your company.

Sincerely,
Victoria Reaves
