PETOPIA Animal Rescue was founded to meet the needs of rescue groups that did not have a place to show their animals in a comfortable and friendly environment. PETOPIA Animal Rescue is not just a single rescue group trying to re-home rescued animals, but several groups rotating through PETOPIA Animal Rescue, giving the public a chance to interact with many different animals and groups at various times. PETOPIA Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization run entirely by volunteers. Its mission is to become a self-sustaining animal adoption center that provides rescue organizations with greater access to families interested in adopting. The sale of merchandise will help support the organizations and an on-site exam room for visiting veterinarians, a dog training center and a meeting area will be available. What is Petopia? The first multi-rescue pet store located in a major mall. Supported 100% by pet lover donations not tax dollars. Where is Petopia? The store is open at the Westfield Promenade Mall 6100 Topanga Canyon #2230 Woodland Hills, CA. Who are the Petopia Rescue Groups? Valley Cats, Inc. – Founded by Debrah Regal, has 20+ year history of finding homes to felines (and canines) Their mission is to rescue cats and kittens in need, rehabilitate and rehome them. Mrs. Regal is a Petopia co-founder committed to animals regardless of breed or type. “We are dedicated to preserving life and dignity of every animal we rescue. Many of our rescues come to us hurt, sick and scared and we work with them until they are ready for adoption. Because of this, we get to know their personalities and can pass this information on to our adopter.” Southern California Pomeranian Rescue - Headed by Leesa Molina, SCPR is an all volunteer group. “We do not have a shelter, therefore, all of our dogs are in private foster homes throughout the Southern California area. Our Pomeranians come to us primarily from local shelters, but also from owners or breeders who can no longer care for them.” Animal Rescue Alliance & Farm Sanctuary – Founder Kelly Holland’s mission is to rescue and provide for the wellbeing of horses, ducks, geese, exotic birds, and other animals that are abandoned, injured subjected to unfair or cruel treatment, neglect or otherwise in need. Those animals that are deemed unplaceable due to age, health, or trauma from abuse will remain in her Sanctuary for the remainder of their lives.
