Stairway Recovery: Offering a true solution to the chronically addicted and unhoused population Stairway Recovery is announcing the proposal of community partnership for onsite housing, psychiatric, medical and addiction treatment to the populations who truly need it the most. This is a call to action to all in the community who are interested in collaborating with an authentic interest in addressing the ongoing issues of substance use and the chronically unhoused. Does this mission speak to your heart? Please read on. WHO WE ARE: Stairway Resource Center currently provides critical services and treatment to those with substance abuse and mental health issues. We are now partnering with the non-profit organization SPARC (Supporting People Around the Recovery Community), and are striving to expand into addressing the chronic homelessness caused by mental health and substance abuse issues in the San Fernando Valley. WHAT WE DO: Stairways Resource Center�s (SRC) focus is on a whole person approach using evidence-based treatment, neuroscience and holistic healing. They strive each day to work by core values and foster an environment that is welcoming, comfortable, and impartial to every client. Michael Lynch, founder and CEO, stated, �We have a mission to support every person who comes to us for help so they can find their personal path through careful guidance, support, rebuilding a foundation, relearning life skills, repairing the pieces of past which have continued to plague them, regaining self-esteem, and building confidence which gives them a path to recovery.� WHY WE WANT TO HELP: The County of Los Angeles recognizes addiction and mental illness as a major contributor to homelessness. SRC is steadfast to be a viable solution to the plight of the homeless and less fortunate.
