GYMNASTIKA Athletic Studio was founded with a clear purpose: to help children navigate the challenges of growing up in todays world. From peer pressure and unhealthy habits to the lingering effects of the pandemic, young people face pressures that can feel overwhelming but with the right guidance, they can thrive.
While we are known as an athletic studio, our mission goes far beyond physical training. At GYMNASTIKA, we focus on developing the whole child through our unique ABC approach Attitude, Body, and Conduct. This method, created by our founder Galyna Gorbis, strengthens both body and mind, helping students build resilience, flexibility, confidence, and self-discipline.
For over 20 years, GYMNASTIKA has empowered hundreds of children to overcome fears, improve self-image, and develop healthy habits. Our work extends beyond the studio, partnering closely with families to provide individualized home practice that reinforces growth and learning.
At GYMNASTIKA, we do not just teach athletics we equip children with the skills and mindset to flourish in every area of life.
From babies to adults, GYMNASTIKA offers programs for everyone. We focus on personal growth in a friendly, non-competitive environment, with professional coaches leading fun and effective classes for all ages and skill levels.
For children: gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, Mommy & Me and Parent & Me (ages 3 months–2 years), ballet, hip-hop, and breakdance—designed to build strength, flexibility, coordination, and confidence in a supportive setting.
For adults: stretching, strengthening, fit ball ballet, and GYMNASTIKA Intensive—focused on releasing tension, improving flexibility, enhancing posture and mobility, building strength, and sculpting the body.
We offer group, private, and semi-private sessions tailored to individual goals and abilities.
Accomplishments:
Since opening GYMNASTIKA Athletic Studio on September 1, 2021, we have grown from just 15 students to over 130 students and expanded from our original Reseda Tarzana location to a larger facility in Woodland Hills. What began as a small rhythmic gymnastics program for girls ages 2 to 7 has evolved into a full athletic studio serving students from 3 months old to adults. Today, we offer a wide range of classes including Mommy and Me, Parent and Me, rhythmic gymnastics, boys gymnastics, ballet, contemporary dance, hip-hop, breakdancing, group training, and private lessons. I started this journey alone, and in just four years, we have built a dedicated team of 10 professionals, including five coaches, administrative staff, marketing specialists, and a CPA. Beyond teaching skills, we have made a real difference in the lives of students supporting those in competitive sports, helping kids with scoliosis, mobility challenges, autism, poor coordination, speech delays, and social anxieties. Our focus is on building confidence, independence, discipline, and resilience teaching every student how to set goals, persevere, and succeed both inside and outside the gym. At GYMNASTIKA, we don't compete or compare; instead, we inspire every student to challenge their own limits and become the best version of themselves.
