I have been a local MOBILE Notary Public-Certified Loan Signing Agent serving Los Angeles and Ventura Counties for 19.5 years.
A business friend of mine said "Hey, give it to Ellen, she'll notarize ANYTHING!" Well, that gets a few chuckles, but I really take my job SERIOUSLY!
Notaries are basically "quasi" civil servants. It is OUR JOB to make sure the documents are properly completed, we have to "dot our I's" and "cross our T's."
A notary needs to be efficient, thorough, organized, paying attention to detail is CRITICAL.
Bottom Line: I love working with people, that's one of the reasons WHY I became a Notary Public.
As long as there is a need, I'm willing to fill it!
I'm experienced with Estate Planning Documents, Real Estate Documents, Calif. DMV Documents, Power of Attorney, Advance Health Care Directives, Passport for Minor Children forms, Parental Consent of Minor Travel Forms.
Accomplishments:
Former "bureaucrat" LOL! I have worked for the L. A. City Human Relations Bureau back in the late 1960's, L. A. County as a School Secretary at Camp David Gonzalez-juvenile detention facility in the Santa Monica Mountains (2000-2001), West Valley Mental Health Clinic administrative assistant (1998), U. S. Federal Govt. U. S. Census Bureau 1990-1997 as a Field Representative. Bottom line, I know how "picky" bureaucrats can be LOL!
Former Newspaper Reporter L. A. Herald Examiner (1971-1975). I wrote entertainment reviews-covered clubs like Doug Weston's Troubadour, the Whiskey, the Roxy, Pasadena Ice House, saw lots of great concerts, "rubbed shoulders" with alot of rock icons including Black Sabbath, David Bowie, Carly Simon, Linda Ronstadt, Bonnie Raitt, Seals & Croft, Earl Scruggs, Lily Tomlin, Little Richard, Chuck Berry, Wolfman Jack and more. Being a bureaucrat and newspaper reporter was the "perfect" segway for me to become a Notary, gave me a keen eye for detail and how bureaucrats and attorneys "think."
I have been the Database Manager for a local cat rescue group-Cats at the Studios for 18 years.
I have completed over 5,600 loan signings including refinances, HELOCS, Loan Modifications, Commercial Loans, Reverse Mortgages, Purchases, Seller Loans. Even with this experience, I'm still "old school," and I still ASK QUESTIONS, when in doubt, ASK! My goal is happy signers, happy lenders!
My largest real estate loan signing took place in August 2022, a two property signing totaling $18 million. I still get goosebumps on that signing.
Now that Loan Signings are SLOW, I'm concentrating on networking with Attorneys, Financial Planners, Insurance Providers giving them "carte blanche" customer care.
As you can also see at the top of my profile, my Notary Kitty Bonnie's Notary Seal. She was with me for over 16 years. Sadly, she passed away at the start of COVID, I still miss her every day!
