The Boys & Girls Club of the West Valley invites you to the Cooper Literacy Event on Thursday, November 13, 2025, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Taxco Theater in Canoga Park. This special evening, themed “Celebrate the Power of Words,” will feature a reception with beverages and hors d’oeuvres, followed by a program highlighting the importance of youth literacy and featuring actor Fred Melamed (Barry, New Girl, Superstore) as the evening’s host and guest speaker. Tickets are $125, with proceeds supporting the Club’s Cooper Literacy Program, which promotes reading and literacy opportunities for local youth.
