At Temple Kol Tikvah’s core there resides a single idea – joy. We describe this idea with the Hebrew word simcha. No matter whether we are praying, playing, studying, celebrating, or taking action to heal our world, we do it with joy in our hearts. In these moments of simcha, we connect to all that is holy.
From the moment you walk through our doors, you will be treated like a welcomed member of the family. We are a modern progressive Reform Jewish community open to traditional, interfaith, same-sex families, as well as seniors and singles. We connect congregants to a community that cares for one another.
Shabbat services, High Holy Day services, religious school, youth and teen programs, senior group, adult education, community events, basically something for everyone!
Accomplishments:
We are very excited to welcome San Fernando Valley-native Cantor Orly Campbell to the Kol Tikvah family. While her first day as our Cantor will be July 1, she will be joining Rabbi Jon for the first time on the bima and leading us in prayer with her beautiful voice beginning July 15. In addition to her work on the bima, Cantor Orly will oversee the music program, prepare students for b’nai mitzvah, officiate life cycle events, and add her neshamah — her spirit — to our community.
