Founded in 2003, the WALK OF HEARTS® Foundation Teacher Recognition Program is a volunteer based non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the value of education by recognizing exceptional teachers in Los Angeles County.

Selected teachers are honored with a bronze plaque embedded in the sidewalk.  In 2014, the 50^th teacher was honored in the original Walk of Fame for Exceptional Educators located in the All America City of Canoga Park.

2017 marks the 13^th year of teacher recognition and a partnership for the WALK OF HEARTS® Foundation with The Village at Westfield Topanga.

Andrei Duman Gallery cordially invites you to the long anticipated opening of the "Abstract Aerials" exhibition. The event will kick off a month-long showing of Andrei's signature aerial works, images all taken by the artist while aloft in helicopters flying over some of the planet's most interesting landscapes. The show opening and ongoing exhibition to follow will be held at the award-winning Andrei Duman Gallery at The  Village, Topanga. The artist will be on hand to discuss the new images as well as address any questions that anyone may have with regard to his work and travels. Wine and hors d'oeuvres will be served.

Our terrestrial domain in all its glory never ceases to entrance. Earth's various landscapes have always been a favorite of artists, photographers and those with a particular wanderlust. But to gain true perspective, one must go airborne and take in the topography as a whole. Duman has scoured this great land of ours seeking out some of the most fascinating and compelling subjects for his signature aerial works. Whether pristine wilderness or the scarred "beauty" of a landmass altered forever by man's folly, these images compel not by minute attention to detail but rather by the fascinating sum of all that is observed from the photographer's lofty vantage point. The final images look interestingly similar to works by some of the modernist greats like Jackson Pollock or Mark Rothko. All the images will be presented and offered in a state-of-the-art format worthy of the passion and artistry that went into creating them.
